TPM COACH: INSTRUCTIONS
This is Michelle, your own virtual TPM Coach! She is here to help you learn the TPM process well and apply it with confidence! She will set up scenarios that will test your knowledge of the TPM process and offer helpful information to keep you heading in the right direction. Along the way, she will also provide links to articles, videos, and other training aids, in order to further support and equip you.
This exercise provides you with a safe place to practice using The Map and asking the various questions found in the TPM process while receiving immediate feedback from someone whose knowledge of TPM is pure and up-to-date. As such, we strongly encourage you to share this page with others so that, together, we become more equipped in knowledge, experience, and confidence when applying this process!

Are there any requirements before I begin this exercise?
This exercise was designed with many people in mind; new people and TPM veterans alike. If you are new to TPM, Michelle will walk you through the basics of TPM, explaining the process and various principles along the way. And if you feel that you are experienced in applying TPM, do not be afraid to purposefully select incorrect responses in order to receive up-to-date explanations of why we do what we do in a TPM session. As you know, TPM has become more and more refined over the years; so do not be surprised if what is currently taught varies slightly from what you are used to. Michelle, and future TPM Coaches, offer a challenge to those who are experienced in TPM while also extending a helping hand to those who are learning the basics.

What an excellent training tool! Thank you for including the coaching explanations at every step! I hope to keep practicing these until I can complete each example correctly, and look forward to the “coming soon” exercises! This will help give us understanding and increase our confidence for when we are facing real people or to help see why we’ve been unsuccessful in previous attempts. This helps ease my fear and gives me hope that it is possible to help another get to the place of experiencing His truth and the peace and joy that brings!

thank you for these tool. I am more of the roll of mentee than mentor, the goal is to deal with my stuff and get equipt to answer the call God had placed on my life to walk with wounded women (w4). today I was able to mentor a friend using these tools. she was able to here from God, HE’s got this. it defused her fear. what a joy to see God relieve her stress. BTW the printable version of the map, yellow sections print very poorly. I am unable to see the words. maybe use black font for the yellow. thank you
Glad to hear that you are using and benefiting from this tool! As far as the map is concerned, many people are using the black and white version to print and using the versions with color on their phones, tablets, and computers. Although I have heard of people printing the color version on quality paper and then laminating it for use in their churches and offices. I hope this helps.
wow- what an eye opener- especially since I have been doing TPM for over 15 years- I really needed to do this exercise because it made me go back to the new material and see what I had to un-learn from old habits and learn the new way. After practicing several times- I could see where I have been going wrong. I am putting into practice what I learn from this one exercise and it has really helped!! And getting better results with the people I am seeing.
That was super helpful to me as someone who hasn’t had the benefit of going through any tpm training yet, but have only been reading the articles on this site. I am so encouraged by the simplicity and purity of this model. Thank you.
I love these practice sessions. I read the prior version of TPM, but never really got to use it as it was somewhat confusing to me. This new version is great.
