TPM is Not About Pain Management
TPM is not about managing our pain, controlling our behavior or improving our spiritual performance. It is about identifying the lies that we believe that are the reason we feel the way we do, and having our minds renewed by receiving the Lord’s perspective, resulting in effortless transformation that only God can bring about.
God is at work in His children. The Bible says, “[God]…is at work in you, both to will and to work for His good pleasure.” (Phil. 2:13) So then, if you belong to Him, He is doing an inner work in you whether you are aware of it or not.
However, his work can be hindered if we fail to cooperate with Him in it. TPM is a way in which we can intentionally and purposefully cooperate with what He is doing in refining our faith, renewing our minds and transforming our lives.
Romans 12:2 clearly says, “Be transformed by the renewing of your mind….” This renewal goes far beyond gaining more Bible knowledge. It involves God persuading us of the truth in our hearts, which is followed by the experiential realization of the fruit of the Holy Spirit in our lives.
It’s All About the Fruit
When we believed the Gospel of truth in our hearts (Rom. 10:10), we became “new creations” (2 Cor. 5:17). When we became new creations, we also became partakers of His divine nature (2 Pet. 1:4), receiving Christ’s Spirit. The Spirit of Christ dwells in the heart of every true believer. We are not expected to go out and perform the fruit of the Spirit. We cannot “do the fruit”, but rather are called to “bear it.” (Col. 1:10) The fruit is God’s fruit and not our own.
The question is, “Are we experiencing the fruit?” As we find freedom from the lies we believe, we will “… bear fruit in every good work and increase in the knowledge of God” (Col. 1:10).
The fruit is not a “to-do” list that we are somehow supposed to go out and do, but rather it is Christ living His life in and through us (Gal. 2:20). The fruit is listed as love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. But we are not to go out and try to act in a loving, joyful, peaceful, patient, kind, good, faithful and gentle manner or to try to control ourselves. Rather, we are called to be these things.
The Apostle Paul said it this way, “I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me” (Gal. 2:20). The evidence of this truth in our lives is not something that we produce ourselves. It only becomes manifest through God’s transforming work.
The fruit is the expected, effortless outflow of the presence of the Spirit of Christ, which indwells every believer. If the fruit is not evident in the believer’s life, then we need to find out why. This is the purpose and goal of Transformation Prayer Ministry. Our goal is for you to learn how to intentionally and purposefully cooperate with what God is doing, in bringing about His transformation in your life.
This is Your Journey
It is crucial that you take full responsibility for learning and understanding the principles and process of TPM, so that He can use it to refine your faith and renew your mind. The emotional pain we so often run from is not the problem. In fact, the emotional pain is the very thing needed to alert us to the real problem within. Pain is not a problem to overcome, but an indication that something is wrong.
We will learn more about all of this very soon.

I just discovered TPM fka Theophostic prayer ministry. My husband and I have been trained in deliverance, but we were taught that we are the police officers that work on God’s behalf. According to this, Jesus is invited in and the person is able to make the journey to wellness in Jesus. I am excited to finish the training here and add it to my tool belt for the ministry God has called us to.
Thank you for the videos! I learn best hearing and doing things rather than reading – and taking notes. This is GREAT!
It would be helpful to have all of your videos all in one place (a folder)to be able to look up videos on specific topics.
Thank you for your ministry to the Body. We love TPM!
Most of the videos are posted in YouTube.com and also in VIMEO.com
Thank you
